CREATE A FREE BLOG WITH BLOGGER

Blogger

Creating a free blogger blog is extremely easy and can be done in less than 10 minutes

  • First login to blogger .com
  • Click on create account
  • Type in your gmail address (if you don’t have one create one)
  • Type in your password

That’s it

Congratulations, you’ve just created your free blogger blog

Now all that is left is for you to start blogging 😉

WAIT

Before you keep reading, keep in mind that there are some downsides to creating a free blog with most website builders

One is that they give you a sub-domain. For instance, when you create a free blogger.com blog and the name is example, instead of it being example.com  it’ll end up being example.blogspot.com.

For wordpress it’d be example.wordpress.com and so on for other web-builders.

Q1: Have you ever created a free blog? Tell me your answer in the comments

CREATE a fREE BLOG WITH WORDPRESS.com

WordPress

Before we learn how to create a free blog with wordpress, you have to know that there is a difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org

With wordpress.com, you can create a blog for free but like I said about restrictions you’ll only get a sub-domain and you’ll have to upgrade to their business, premium or e-commerce packs to own your own domain and use plugins. The good thing though is that they host your blog for free.

WordPress.org on the other hand allows you to use as much plugins as you want without paying anything, but the catch is you’ll have to find a hosting provider and pay them to host your website/blog for you.

Alright, now we know the difference, let’s continue

  • First login to wordpress.com
  • Click on create blog
  • Input  your email account
  • Create a password
  • Confirm your password

It’s that easy

CONCLUSION

Owning a blog is a wonderful experience and there’s no shame in not having any money to hire someone or pay for hosting

As of the time of writing this post I am using a free wordpress.com blog

This is why website builders made creating a free blog possible. Although there are restrictions, you can still share your opinions with the world

Q2: If you already own a free blog, tell me your experience and or challenges in the comments I’d love to hear them.

So, that’s how to create a free blog with blogger or wordpress. Which web-builder do you prefer?
